*Position Purpose:*
The Administrative/Finance Assistant supports the Executive Director with business operations of the Camp, with an emphasis in accounting and financial reporting.
Areas of such operations include maintaining financial records, financial reporting, purchasing, human resources, record keeping, and insurance.
The position involves considerable independent work under the direction of the Executive Director, as well as supporting other members of the team.
*Essential Job Functions:*
* Pay bills and make bank deposits on a timely basis
* Be the primary contact with vendors for billing issues
* Post required entries into Quickbooks software
* Prepare monthly financial statements using the accrual basis of accounting, including updating subsidiary financial worksheets, any financial reconciliations of bank accounts, grants, and significant accounts
* Understand and run reports in Camp reservation software to obtain revenue-related data
* Responsible for human resource services, including on-boarding of new employees
* Process semi-monthly payroll for Executive Director’s review
* Responsible for Point-of-Sale system (i.
e.
Square)
* Responsible for HMSA enrollment and payroll/pension administration
* Work with Executive Director and Treasurer on annual budget formulation
* Work on insurance matters
* Maintain Camp profiles and updates with regulatory agencies (e.
g.
DCCA, sam.
gov, vendor portals, etc)
*Secondary Responsibilities:*
* Provide support to Executive Director through:
* Preparation of needed reports; e.
g.
grant-related reports
* Marketing and fundraising assistance
* Work with Client Services Manager as necessary, including answering phones and assisting clients

*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in business, including mid-high level accounting courses
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping using Quickbooks
* Strong organizational skills
* Experience in using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Detail oriented
* Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
* Ability to meet deadlines
