CPA firm located in downtown is seeking an assistant responsible for providing administrative and tax operational support for the tax department.
Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Prepares correspondence, letters, reports and other documents
-Files library materials, workpapers and correspondence
-Prepares and accounts for outgoing mail
-Maintains office supplies inventory
-Assists with maintaining office filing system, to include sending/retrieving files from off-site location
-Processes tax returns
-Prepares federal and state tax office transmittals, to include knowledge of all tax return due dates and mailing addresses
-Assists with tracking and updating tax engagement deadlines and status
-Creates, posts and manages content on firm's social media platforms
-Assists with preparing tax software files
-Provides support on special tax projects and initiatives
-Collaborates with staff, clients and management
Qualifications:
-Degree or certification in office administration preferred but not required
-Detail-oriented self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
-Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
-Ability to work well within teams as well as individually
-Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook; social media.
