We offer a competitive starting pay of $20.
00 for the Kitchen Manager position, with the possibility of increases based on performance + TIPS.
*Responsibilities*
* Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards in the kitchen.
* Ensure compliance with food safety management practices.
* Manage inventory, including placing supplier orders and troubleshooting issues.
* Monitor proper food storage, avoiding over-storing inventory, and inspecting produce quality.
* Practice waste management and resolve potential issues promptly.
* Multitask in a kitchen setting and proactively resolve conflicts while staying composed.
* Address issues such as a guest taking too long to pick up food or low inventory levels.
* Efficiently train team members on preparation tasks and line work.
* Delegate work tasks to kitchen staff, including cleaning, preparation, and line work.
* Know when to adjust staffing levels during slow service.
* Proactively ensure timely execution of food orders without compromising quality.
* Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, staffing, and adherence to break policies.
* Provide necessary tools for staff efficiency and ensure proper equipment functioning.
* Recognize tasks that can be streamlined to optimize labor and improve efficiency.
* Maintain communication with FOH Manager and staff to ensure smooth service operations.
* Troubleshoot and address issues related to kitchen operations promptly.
*Qualifications*
* Strong knowledge and adherence to kitchen sanitation practices in accordance with health codes.
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry
* Strong leadership and organizational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
* Extensive knowledge with ingredient sourcing in Oahu, Hawaii
