JOB SUMMARY: A Steward is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all Food and Beverage areas, to include Dish Rooms, Main Kitchen, Bake Shop, Food and Beverage Cold and Dry Storage, Poolside Pantries, and Catering Food Service Areas.
A Steward is responsible for the overall cleanliness and remedying of any safety hazards of all Food and Beverage Areas.
They must ensure all Food and Beverage Trash is recycled and disposed of properly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Washing and sanitizing all Food and Beverage equipment and utensils in the Main Dish Machine Area
Sorting and Storing of all Food and Beverage Equipment in its proper location
Changing Oil of Deep Fryer and cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment to include grills, broilers, ovens, stoves, etc.
Transport all unsanitary dishware and equipment to its proper areas for proper cleaning and sanitation
Read and comprehend all Event Orders
Determine equipment needs for Banquet Event Orders, and list requirements on "Banquet Equipment Requisition Form"
Using the "Banquet Equipment Requisition" Form, pull all sanitary and clean equipment need for the Catering Function
Set UP, Breakdown, and Maintain Banquet Bussing Station, before, during, and after the event
Analyze and Evaluate SDS sheets to determine hazards of the various cleaning agents and chemicals being used to accomplish the various tasks prior to their usage
Conduct random Food and Beverage Equipment inventories as requested
Responsible for washing and drying kitchen towels, on an as needed basis throughout their shift in order to ensure the culinary team has a sufficient supply on hand at all times.
Properly Recycle and dispose of all Food and Beverage Trash
Maintain the cleanliness of the cardboard compactor area, Main Trash Dumpster area, and Recycling Bins
Sweeping, Mopping, and towel drying all Food and Beverage Floors
