Small busy Kailua restaurant seeks skilled Executive Chef to assist in the operation of our kitchen.
Create specials, maintain kitchen standards of cleanliness and food safety.
This is a working chef position.
You will be required to work on the line.
Seasonal Menu Changes and Holiday Menu Planning
Daily duties will include inventory and ordering, Scheduling, personnel management, portion control, food expediting, general cleaning, equipment and facility maintenance, organization of prep lists, daily prep for lunch and dinner service.
Requirements/Responsibilities
10 yrs minimum chef/kitchen manager/supervisory experience
or - 15 years experience having worked all stations in a kitchen
Experience with seasonal menu changes
Menu planning and execution
Must have Short order cookery AND fine dinning experience
Sauté, broiler, pantry, sanitation and knife skills are musts!
Scheduling and Staff management
Product ordering and inventory
Problem solving skills
Excellent customer service skills,
Positive attitude and hard working,
Available to work nights, weekends, and all holidays.
Punctuality,
Ability to work well in a team environment &
Perform in high tempo & fast paced kitchen
