Position Title: Cook
Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all Company standards, applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards, and following established food production programs and procedures.
Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, fraud, and injury.
Keep lines of communication open between the point person and the Manager-on-Duty.
Ability to accurately prepare all menu items.
Ability to work each station (grill, fry, and cook?s line).
Proven product identification skills, including the ability to determine quality and freshness.
Using knowledge of food and kitchen safety as they relate to sanitation, preparation, and proper storage of all food items.
Set up the line with appropriate utensils, equipment, and product.
Ensure proper food/product rotation.
Responsible for prepping, portion control, and assembly of all Cheeseburger menu items.
Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organized station throughout the shift.
Carefully read each ticket for modifiers and/or any other special instructions.
Clean as you go.
Preparation of made to order items as requested.
Proper sanitation of all kitchen utensils and equipment.
Monitor and log any waste on waste log sheet.
Assist Front of House (FOH) employees with any reasonable request per Manager-on-Duty?s approval.
All food preparation may only be made with a printed ticket.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on an as-needed basis.
Learn all methods of preparing a high quality, consistent food product every time.
Adherence to all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures outlined in the orientation, Employee Handbook, and Safety Manual.
Must use safety cut gloves when handling knives.
Must use safety goggles when cleaning kitchen equipment that will protect the eyes from exposure to injury.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Manager-on-Duty.
Basic Qualifications Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be 18 years of age.
Skill(s): Moderate reading and writing skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less; manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Experience: Prior experience in related food service positions preferred.

Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.

Store food properly and safely, marking date and item.
4.
Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to the Manager-on-Duty.
