Graham Technologies (GTECH) seeks a civil engineer to oversee projects within the military installation of Camp Smith in Hawaii.
This role involves supporting Military Construction (MILCON) and other engineering projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, standards, and timelines.
In this position, you will work with internal and external stakeholders, review designs, coordinate construction activities, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Project Review and Assessment:
Review plans, designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by licensed professional engineers.
Assess and review design Charrette documents and deliverables at all design phases for final approval.
Coordinate with stakeholders to respond to construction Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage project closeout deliverables.
Documentation and Communication:
Coordinate, validate, and distribute all design plans, specs, and project turnover documents.
Maintain communication with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Organize facility planning, management, and coordination efforts for the Facilities Department.
Compliance and Standards:
Identify new planning standards, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs), and regulations affecting projects.
Propose changes to current planning to incorporate revisions and ensure compliance with existing criteria.
Apply UFCs, technical criteria, and other requirements to project development and planning documents.
Schedule Management:
Facilitate adherence to project schedules by coordinating with Camp Smith personnel and stakeholders.
Manage critical initiatives and operations associated with project requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate analyses, reports, and briefings to keep stakeholders informed and enable decision-making.
Maintained issue logs and project comment lists and coordinated project RFIs throughout all project phases.
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or similar engineering
Professional Civil Engineering License.
Working knowledge of DoD and Marine Corps policies related to facilities planning and engineering projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Experience working on DoD installations and managing MILCON projects.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with facilities planning and programming.
Familiarity with Naval Facilities (NAVFAC) and Army Corps of Engineers processes.
Ability to develop professional-level correspondence and manage programs effectively.
