*Job Purpose*
We are looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer to provide fast and effective support for computer hardware and software issues.
You will be required to work on-site or via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and troubleshoot basic IT-related issues.
To ensure success, you should have extensive knowledge of current operating systems and applications, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills.
*Essential Functions*
* Provide remote and on-site support for one or more locations as needed
* Responding to end user support requests and escalations from the Helpdesk via tickets
* Software/Hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting
* Workstation deployments
* Workstation image management
* Patch management
* Providing basic guidance in computer operation and management
* Special projects as required.
*Education*
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology preferred.
*Experience*
* 2 to 3 years of IT experience
*Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses*
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate preferred
* A+ Certification preferred
*Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
* Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals
* Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems
* Experience with Dell and HP computer hardware
* Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and domain environments
* Experience with mobile devices (IOS, Android, Windows)
* Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
* Ability to travel and work after hours support/On-Call when necessary
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Good written and oral communication skills required to communicate action items taken to resolve IT-related issues to end-users in terms easily understood
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* HDL is required
Salary Range: $60,000 to $84,000
