Job Description Position Overview: The Assistant Store Manager, Operations will lead all aspects of operational efficiency and maintain high quality in-store experiences that allows customers to continuously conquer the outdoors! They will work closely to support the Store Manager in all store performance areas including store financial performance, people management & engagement, customer experience and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do: Assist in achieving and exceeding sales targets, including both top and bottom line results Analyze and proactively react to inventory planning and maintain accurate inventory metrics such as stock-ins, turnover, and flow Follow all loss prevention procedures that minimize unnecessary loss including weekly cycle counts, yearly inventory counts, incident reporting etc.
Ensure overall accuracy and efficiency of inventory and cash store operating procedures Perform payroll and scheduling, ensuring appropriate store coverage to improve efficiency and provide the best customer experience Process all incoming and outgoing merchandise requests and shipments daily Monitor discretionary spend including supply cost and expenses Handle in store operation systems (Point of sale, Workday, Powerbi etc.
) Perform all operational procedures in alignment with company standards and ensure compliance from all teammates Regularly review company’s email and communication tools to ensure messages are shared with the team and acted on in a timely manner Ensure an outstanding customer experience through operational excellence, including stock room management and cash wrap experience Train teammates on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they have an understanding of SOPs potential impact on the business Empower and encourage teammates to build brand loyalty and drive employee engagement Mentor teammates to ensure they maintain Canada Goose’s expectations of quality and authenticity while supporting cross functional collaboration Develop future leaders while identifying external talent for the retail business Let’s Talk About You: Minimum 3 years of retail management experience Previous experience working with affluent and luxury brands in high traffic locations Inventory, payroll and expense management experience Consistent track record of maintaining operational excellence while driving performance in retail stores Excellent analytical skills with a proven understanding of retail math/metrics Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong business sense and keen attention to detail Consistently exhibits Canada Goose’s Values, taking pride in being innovative, authentic, passionate, relentless, and entrepreneurial!
