We are seeking an independent, experienced, knowledgeable, hardworking, creative, and personable individual to fill our *HR Director position*.
If selected, the candidate will become responsible for long-term strategic planning, as well as managing the day-to-day people and functions of the Human Resources department.
The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.
*Position is local to Oahu, Hawaii.

*Responsibilities*
* Develop and continually improve corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
* Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training, development, retention, etc.
* Oversee all HR initiatives, systems, and tactics
* Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance where needed
* Be a point of contact for all employees and company leadership
* Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
* Work to resolve grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
* Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
* Report to company leadership with data analysis and HR metrics
* Gain understanding of the rules and regulations related to industries in which we operate
*Skills*
* Prior experience as an HR Director, or at least 5 years in a role as HR Manager and demonstrated ability to be qualified our next HR Director
* Full understanding of the way organizations operate to meet its objectives
* Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations, more specifically as they are commonly interpreted in Hawaii
* Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles, best practices, and software
* A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
* Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
* BSc/BA in human resources, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA in human resources will be a plus
