*Lead Captain for Wildlife Charters*

Position Requirements:
* Current Master Credential 25 Tons or greater upon near coastal waters
* Must complete a pre-employment drug screen and take random drug screens
* May need a DOT medical card for driving fuel truck
Responsibilities:
1.
) Command of the vessel.
The captain is responsible for its safe and efficient operation, including operation, navigation, crew management.
All persons on board, including crew, other staff members, passengers, and guests are under the captain’s authority and are his or her ultimate responsibility.
The captain is responsible for the cleanliness and seaworthiness of vessel, all equipment on board and safe mooring in all weather.

) Professional in performance, attitude and appearance from start to finish.
Support, maintain, and enforce company philosophies while keeping harmony among the team, guests, and self.

) Effective teamwork and appropriate communication with crew, office staff and mechanics.
Maintain logs of safety drills, and maintenance records.
Fueling or arrange for vessel to be fueled.
Arrange for vessel supplies, gear, parts and repairs, giving clear details for diagnosis.
4.
) Seasoned ability to maneuver vessel, and to secure and check lines daily and in for prep for cases of inclement weather.
Knowledge of ocean currents, tide changes, wind and wave strength, and direction.
5.
) Basic+ knowledge in boat mechanical and electrical maintenance, ability to perform routine maintenance and pre-flight checks.
Training required, duration is based on your learning curve.
