SAP Public Sector Fixed Assets Lead Consultant (US Citizen or Permanent Resident required) Responsibilities Accountable for the successful implementation of SAP Fixed Assets Accounting with integration to Funds Management and Grants Management modules following SAP ASAP or Activate Methodology standards.
Serve as subject matter expert in the area of Fixed Assets Accounting.
Leads workshops with customers to demonstrate and explain module functionality and best practice processes.
Assists customers improve business processes and documents changes required to SAP configuration settings to implement redesigned business processes.
Develops to-be design documentation for Master Data and Process designs.
Makes SAP configuration settings as required.
Unit tests standard transactions and applications.
Develops functional specifications for Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Data Conversions, Enhancements and Forms.
Coordinates with technical developers to review specifications with customers, explain the design and obtain approval of specifications.
Assists developers by responding to questions and clarifications.
Assists customer develop test cases, test scripts and test plans.
Assists customer perform integration and acceptance testing.
Resolves defects and issues identified by customer in integration testing.
Assists training developers by providing conceptual content, exercise content and demonstration content.
Reviews training materials for correct representation of SAP functionality.
Executes data conversions and provides data validation assistance to customer.
Assists customers anticipate, identify and resolve post go-live issues.
Updates all design, configuration and specification documentation and conducts a documentation walk through with customer.
Provides knowledge transfer to customer throughout the project.
Responsible for the management of module Scope.
Identifies and logs issues and risks.
Establish clear expectations regarding status reporting, team communication and deliverable management.
Manages and provide oversight of team tasks.
Reports to Functional lead.
The position generally requires over 80 % travel to customer location.
Qualifications and Experience A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
The required knowledge and skills for the role are: 5-7 years of industry and/or consulting experience with SAP Fixed Assets Accounting with integration to SAP Public Sector Management.
Deep understanding of asset classes, account determinations, depreciation areas, period controls, screen layouts, mass changes and assets reporting is required.
Understanding of multiple depreciation area configuration and integration to SAP projects system is preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in Public Sector (State & Local government, K-12, Utilities, Higher Education or Healthcare) in a consulting or employee position.
Experience with ASAP or Activate or equivalent SAP implementation methodology S/4HANA experience is a plus.
Aptitude for consulting: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to listen, respond and build trust Ability to implement practical business solutions under strict deadlines.
Ability and desire to work with people as part of a high-performance team Additional Key Skills: Excellent planning and time management skills Customer service focus and attitude Strong teamwork and collaboration skills This role requires up to 50% monthly travel to customer location.
