Purpose Develops, manages and coordinates the front of the house dining experience.
Monday to Friday day shift hours.
Essential Functions Develops, implements and monitors the service standards for a quality dining experience in the Dining Room, Health Care Center, and Employee Lounge and for Private Functions.
Manages and coordinates and schedules the Wait staff, Health Care Center dining, setting up Employee Meals, and Private Functions.
Includes: Working with Executive Chef & Director of Dining Services and HR to recruit, interview and hire staff.
Continuously training staff on customer service, serving etiquette and techniques, working with seniors, and the point of sale system.
Administering the performance management system for all employees managed by Dining Services Manager.
Orders and maintains supplies for all dining venues.
Works in concert with the Resident Food/Dining Committee to handle and respond to resident concerns and requests regarding food quality, service and related matters.
Provides Executive Chef & Director of Dining Services, Sous Chef and Dietitian continuous feedback from residents on food preparation, presentation, taste and variety.
Works in concert and follows-up with department managers, supervisors and staff members to address and meet the residents’ needs and concerns in regards to food in a timely fashion.
Complies with all health and safety regulations.
Networks and establishes relationships with counterparts at other organizations within the Food and Beverage Industry and stays abreast of the latest trends.
Responsible for operating the point of sale software, training staff on use of this software, and assisting the IT department with resolving any issues.
Other duties as assigned by the Arcadia Family of Companies.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Wait staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
