Responsible for overseeing the company’s financial health and strategy.
Manage all aspects of financial and cash flow planning.
Lead financial planning, reporting, risk management, and decision-making while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Provide valuable insights to support the President and Board of Directors through data analysis and reporting.
Manage and develop a high-performing finance team.
Requirements: Essential Duties (Major Responsibilities/Activities): Leadership: Work closely with the President, Board of Directors, and firm Management to oversee and implement the firm’s financial operations.
Finances: Manage all financial functions, including accounting, cash management, taxation, audits, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, through direct supervision or delegation.
Develop annual forecasts and budgets, oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Establish robust financial controls to uphold the company's commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.
Additionally, lead the bookkeeping and accounting staff.
Risk Management and Compliance: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Stay informed and advise company leadership on current or impending legislation with financial implications, such as tax laws and R&D credits, for timely financial and tax planning.
Financial Strategy & Reporting: Innovate financial strategies that drive the company's success.
Create and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and communicate the firm's financial achievements and progress over time.
Alignment with Corporate Values: Ensure that financial decisions and strategies align with corporate values.
Adaptability and Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrate flexibility in adapting financial strategies to accommodate changing circumstances, emerging trends, and evolving requirements.
Foster collaborative relationships with leaders and managers across various departments, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
This includes translating financial information in a way that supports diverse teams and aligns with the company's overall goals.

Education/Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
MBA or CPA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant financial management and leadership, preferably in A-E or related industries.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of A-E sector, project accounting, and relevant regulations.
Financial management experience including accounting, budgeting, and profit planning.
Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Suite of programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Project, in addition to Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Good understanding of Financial Accounting software systems and capabilities for efficient financial management.
Experience with Deltek accounting and timekeeping software is preferred.
Other Skills Financial Planning: Proven track record in strategic financial planning aligned with business goals.
Compliance and Risk: Expertise in financial compliance, risk management, and knowledge of tax laws for A-E firms.
Communication: Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, fostering collaboration across teams.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to industry trends, economic changes, and evolving regulations.
Technology: Proficient in financial software and technology used in the A-E industry.
Ethics: Commitment to ethical business practices and responsible financial decision-making.
Salary Range: $135,000 - $225,000 Group 70 International, Inc.
