*JOB SUMMARY:*
The Facilities Manager determines needed repairs and improvements for all buildings and retail store locations in addition to planning and directing all related maintenance activities.
*RESPONSIBILITES:*
* Coordinates and directs day-to-day operations of the maintenance shop
* Supervises and directs the maintenance staff by providing training and development, monitoring and evaluating work performance, interviewing and hiring adequate staff and disciplining staff as necessary
* Confers with architects, engineers, contractors, internal management and other staff regarding maintenance projects such as progress reports, work evaluations and project details
* Consistently presents Maui Divers of Hawaii and its services in a positive manner and adheres to company guidelines and procedures as outlined by the Employee Handbook
* Directs and coordinates solutions and repairs to daily manufacturing operations issues and facility improvements
* Documents departmental activity through preparation of various reports, work orders, maintenance schedules and other incidental record keeping
* Prepares, implements and monitors departmental budget
* Reviews and analyzes project specifications, drawings and blue prints
* Develops and maintains inventory of spare and repair parts, materials and tools
* Supervises and directs various seasonal projects such as roofing maintenance and repairs, facility renovations, parking lot repairs and HVAC maintenance
*QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
* Clean driving record
* Stand for long periods
* Bend, squat, twist to small and awkward areas
* Work in different environment indoor/outdoor and various temperatures
*REQUIRED LICENSES:*
* A valid Hawaii Driver's license is required to operate company owned vehicles and a clean driving record must be maintained at all times.
*ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Requires incumbent to be on 24-hour on-call status for projects and facilities emergencies
* Moderate physical effort required involving long periods of standing/walking, climbing ladders and lifting moderately heavy objects (25 - 50 lbs)
* May require travel as needed
