Job Overview:
The Sr.
Maintenance Technician is journeyman level position responsible for performing a variety of challenging tasks including the preventative maintenance, repair, and operation of buildings, equipment and a multitude of hospital systems.
These duties insure a safe, reliable, and efficient environment for our staff, patients and visitors.
This position offers the opportunity to cross train and grow your skillset.
Plumbing, HVAC and Refrigeration experience is a must, and valid EPA certification is required.
This position is on call, non-exempt and benefits eligible.
The pay range for this position is $27.
38/hour - $34.
22/hour.
Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate, discuss, and problem-solve with the team on repairs, maintenance and applications of equipment with the rest of the facilities team on timelines, workload, etc.
Respond promptly and efficiently to trouble and emergency calls, completes assigned work orders in a timely basis.
Keep technical and safety training knowledge and skills current.
Become knowledgeable in the codes and standards of the National Fire Protection Association and The Joint Commission.
Perform high quality preventative maintenance and repair service on equipment including commercial grade pumps, boilers, water heaters, kitchen equipment, air handlers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems.
Maintain the plumbing circulation system and the recreation therapy pool.
Inspect on a routine basis fire sprinkler pump, equipment, flow devices and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
Troubleshoot equipment, locate repair parts and/or obtain quotes for the repairs.
Review blueprints to comprehend and manage the functioning of the hospital systems.
Review Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals to identify the right parts and service methods for preventative maintenance and repairs, along with identifying appropriate equipment life cycles.
Utilizing a computer maintenance management system, maintain appropriate maintenance and repair records.
Qualifications:
Building Maintenance: 4 years (Preferred)
Commercial Plumbing 1 year
Refrigeration 2 years
Hospital/Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Driver's License (Required)
