*RN Supervisor* The LPN/RN Supervisor, supervises, manages and directs licensed nursing, and non-licensed staff in performance of nursing and heath care services for our residents.
The supervisor acts under delegated authority of the Director of Nursing & Assistant Director of Nursing and is accountable to achieve and maintain quality care in a cost effective manner.
*Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:* 1.
Plans, directs and supervises Unit/Department nursing and health care staff in the performance of their duties 2.
Working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, wound care, etc 3.
Assists in the implementation and regular review of nursing services objectives, policies and procedures in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
This includes but is not limited to: Residents Rights, Medical Records, Physicians, Pharmacy, and Laboratory services for their Unit/Department.

Participates in the selection of licensed and non-licensed staff.
Conducts training, manages performance and contributes to a culture of excellence in service, compliance and care 5.
Ensures staffing is sufficient related to census and levels of care needed.
Responsible for managing staffing to budget for regular hours, over time to ensure shifts are properly and cost effectively staffed and managed.

Responsible for clinical operations to include but not limited to: Monitoring Resident conditions, Infection Control systems, psychopharmacological medications management, proper use of restraints, ventilator equipment, foley catheters as prescribed.

Maintains systems to check for, prevent and report pressure ulcers, Input/Output, on their specified Unit/Department.
* Ensure inventory remains fully stocked at all times and requesting orders when necessary * Reviews and reports out on 24 Hour Report- Takes necessary actions to address Resident Care issues, health, behavioral and/or psychosocial issues as reported.
* Conducts regular Resident Chart audits-includes but is not limited to; Weekly summaries and care plans, identifies issues, takes corrective action and follows up on system, operations issues.
Reviews EMRs and TARS, Physician Summaries * Represents the Department of Nursing in (includes but is not limited to): Stand Up, PDPM, QA&A, Resident Care Conferences * Conducts regular and effective Nursing Rounds and effectively follows up on any issues that arise and communicates effectively with nursing staff to ensure consistent practice across all shifts * Other duties as assigned *Minimum Qualifications:* *Education:* - Graduation from accredited School of Nursing *License/Certification:* Registered Nurse- Licensed in the State of Hawaii *Experience:* - Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in nursing with increasingly progressive responsibility in a supervisory role as an ICU Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, or related leadership experience *Knowledge* - Knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to delivery of licensed and non-licensed nursing and health care - Knowledge of nursing practice and related systems of care - Knowledge of basic Medicare and Medicaid - Knowledge of Residents Rights and the development of nursing systems and practice in order to establish a culture of excellence, quality and service *Skills* - Pleasant and welcoming demeanor with visitors and staff - Maintains focus while effectively attending to multiple tasks - Detail oriented- effectively identifies critical issues, areas of focus for self and others - Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize work assignments for self and others - Able to meet deadlines - Effective written and verbal communication.
- Preparation of reports, documents and entries in accordance with established procedures - Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and patient management and related software - Establishes trust and credibility as a leader, approachable management style - Consistently viewed and sought out as a ventilator subject matter expert with a cooperative/collaborative approach and consistently acts as a resource for colleagues, licensed and non-licensed staff Job Type: Full-time Pay: $93,500.
