Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone - Collect and update patient demographic information and medical history - Assist with prior authorizations for insurance claims processing - Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality - Assist healthcare providers with medical administrative tasks, such as coding and billing - Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Provide basic patient care, such as assisting with medication administration or wound care - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients or their families - Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists Experience: - Previous experience working in a medical office setting is preferred - Strong knowledge of medical administrative support procedures and practices - Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
