We are seeking an experienced and dedicated medical assistant in implementing basic nursing procedures in The Arc’s plan of care for clients and to function as part of the health care team under the direction of a Nurse Manager (NM) and Nurse Case Manager (NCM).

Educational, Experience, and Other Requirements:
*Associate degree in the field of medical assistants from an accredited college.
*State of Hawaii driver’s license and Visions certification.
*Basic clinical skills such as taking case histories, vital signs (temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels).
*Understanding medical terminologies.
Preferred, but not required experience:
*One year volunteer or work experience assisting persons with intellectual or developmental
disabilities.
*Experience in home care.

General Job Duties:
*Assures that the rights of the participants are protected and protected from abuse neglect, and dangerous hazardous conditions.
*Assures program and facility compliance with standards, policies, and regulations.
*Take vital signs (blood pressure, weights, blood oxygen levels, etc.
).
*Performs and documents site reviews for participants health maintenance.
*Initiates GERs and IRs as needed.
*Performs monthly reviews of medical records.
*Conducts Quality Assurance reviews of medical records.
*Prepares journal entries for cash receipts and does various allocations of government funding;
posts monthly and annual journal entries
*Reconciles general ledger accounts
*Process monthly federal and state claims, maintains subsidiary schedules, reconciles general
ledger, oversees collection of delinquent receivables
*Prepare all various documents for annual audits
*Prepares accurate billings to government agencies, tenants, and other sources of funding
*Ensures accuracy of accounting data recorded in Sage Intacct and Ramp
Full-time: Monday through Friday; May be required to work additional hours as needed.
Must be available to respond to emergency calls on a 24-hour, 7-day per week basis.
Hourly pay range: $19.
