Hitachi Rail Honolulu JV (HRH) is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Warehouse Supervisor to work on our Honolulu Rail Project.

The position is based in Pearl City/Honolulu, HI.
Accountabilities: Responsible for the management and supervision of the O&M Organization's entire warehousing and material distribution functions, including the main Storeroom, satellite storerooms, physical distribution of material throughout the Metro system, property disposal and the receiving, testing and inspecting of incoming and outgoing material Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises the activities of the Warehousing and Distribution functions for all Metro material system-wide to ensure maximum efficiency and control of inventory assets.
Develops and implements plans, policies and procedures governing the receipt storage, accountability and distribution of material throughout the Rail System to maximize material availability and accountability while minimizing handling, storage and delivery costs.
Develops implements and maintains procedures that will ensure on-time delivery of material based on such factors as systemwide usage, individual storeroom usage, distribution channels, distribution resources and storage requirements.
Recommends overall inventory program strategy and guidelines, develops and implements supply policy instructions governing internal procedures, policy instructions, and other documents covering supply chain policies and procedures.
Follows up on all suppliers’ documentation to assure that guidelines have been suitably followed and correct coding rules have been applied.
Develops, implements and maintains property disposal procedures that ensure a high level of oversight and control while maximizing returns to the O&M Organization through innovative methods of disposal including sales, auctions and online bidding.
Develops, implements and maintains a Receipt Inspection procedures to ensure incoming material meets specification requirements.
Coordinates discrepancies with contractors to ensure maximum benefit and parts availability to the O&M Organization.
Enhances and maintains positive working relationships with internal customers to maximize operational support, credibility and responsiveness.
Actively participates in the development and implementation of the computerized inventory management and warehousing system within the MMIS (Maintenance Management and Information System), makes recommendations for enhancements as appropriate and is responsible for its correct use for the part of his own responsibility.
Supervises subordinate staff to include recommending applicant selection, disciplinary actions, resolution of grievances, assigning duties, directing work, approving leave requests and time sheets, and ensuring that appropriate subordinate training is provided.
Monitors the workloads of the various categories of warehousing requirements and allocates available resources to ensure the most efficient and effective work performance in accordance with established priorities.
Establishes clear goals and performance standards for subordinates against which they will be measured and conduct performance evaluations of subordinates based on these standards.
Stays abreast of state-of-the-art developments in the supply chain management field, particularly as they relate to stores / warehousing / physical distribution.
Assists in the preparation of specifications and contacts vendors concerning supply purchases.
