Smith, Hawaii, United States Full time Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Amentum is seeking a dynamic Air Planner with experience in developing, coordinating, and planning USINDOPACOM operations to support JTF execution-level crisis action and contingency planning during steady state training, crisis planning, and operational missions.
USINDOPACOM maintains a Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) to shape the environment in the USINDOPACOM Area of Operations; Concept Plans (CONPLANs); and Operational Plans (OPLANS) in order to ensure the Combatant Commander is postured to rapidly respond to these types of contingencies.

The Air Planner will directly support the Lead Planner in developing, coordinating, and planning support to Joint Fires in accordance with CDRUSINDOPACOM policies and guidance within the Indo-Pacific Area of responsibility (AOR).
Duties include: Provide subject matter expertise in the planning of 1) full spectrum operations planning, 2) manned and unmanned platform operations, 3) kinetic and non-kinetic attacks, and 4) integration requirements of service components, allies, and partner nations within All Domains to orchestrate and achieve optimal Joint effects against selected targets.
Develop, publish, and update air support to integrated Joint fires plans in alignment with the Commander’s intent and priorities of effort.
Coordinate with subordinate joint forces, sub-unified commands, service components, and functional components to ensure contingency and crisis plans provide flexible joint fires options throughout the AOR and that intelligence supports planning in accordance with USINDOPACOM priorities.
Manage all aspects of air support to theater integrated fires Joint planning, to include attack coordination, target deconfliction, and command guidance for the maneuver of air forces in the execution of fires.
Develop integrated joint fires response options for the National Command Authority during crisis action planning.
Facilitate integrated joint fires planning and operations of USINDOPACOM subordinate commands by coordinating the approval of Air requests and by advocating for intelligence and targeting support from other combatant commands, the national level integrated fires community, and the National Command Authority.
Provide technical advice and administrative guidance regarding policies, procedures, and problem resolution for air activities.
Ensure work products meet planning objectives and policy compliance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university At least 10 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least 5 years of experience in military operations At least 3 years of experience in operational and/or strategic levels of DoD planning and/or execution At least 3 years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR Must have an active Top-Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level equivalents Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, or Graduation from a military command and staff college 15 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least 5 years of experience in military operations 6 years of experience in operational and/or strategic levels of DoD planning and/or execution 6 years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
