Position Summary The Academic Detailer - Clinical Advisor position is an exciting pharmacist opportunity to use your clinical background in a client facing role.
This role will support the Health Plan segment and is an integral part of the account team.
As a Clinical Advisor, you will utilize clinical and analytical skills in a managed care environment to positively impact the health of clients and members while helping reduce health care costs.
You will accomplish this through: - Serving as the clinical subject matter expert on the account team - Providing clinical consulting services through analyzing drug utilization patterns and trends for our Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) clients.
-Working collaboratively with Health Plan to identify formulary and quality optimization strategies.
- Leveraging your presentation skills by delivering monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, in partnership with the account owner, to clients on the clinical aspects of their benefit plan.
-Academic Detailer - Clinical Advisor may be required based on client need to have direct outreach with prescribers and members, either in person or via phone communications.
- Educating clients on CVS Health’s clinical programs and solutions to make recommendations for client implementation and adoption.
As a Clinical Advisor your success will be driven by maintaining above average client satisfaction scores and contributing to the account team’s ability to increase client revenue relative to clinical programs and solutions.
You will partner and serve as a liaison with internal teams and other clinicians supporting clinical programs on behalf of the client to achieve these results.
Superior writing and organizational skills as well as the ability to meet tight deadlines will also be paramount to your success.
The contributions you will make as a Clinical Advisor will position CVS Health for long term growth in the competitive PBM marketplace.
This position must be located in Hawaii with the ability to work remotely.
Academic detailer- clinical advisor must be available to meet with members and prescribers in person as this is a role that include interfacing with prescribers to influence their prescribing habits.
Required Qualifications - 3 years of clinical experience and/or 1 year of PGY-1 Managed Care Residency program - Must be current resident of Hawaii - Active Hawaii pharmacy license that is in good standing - Proficiency in Microsoft applications - Excellent presentation and oral/written communication skills - Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Travel may require but is not limited to flights, overnight stays, local travel, travel on short notice and other travel deemed necessary by the Company.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience as a clinical pharmacist in either the ambulatory or inpatient setting.
- Commitment to client service and relationship building - Ability to work on multiple projects, prioritize, and resolve complex problems.
- Ability to learn multiple internal reporting and analytic tools for client management.
- AMCP Fundamentals of Managed Care Pharmacy Certificate or similar professional advancement Education PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $102,375.
00 - $220,500.
00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
