The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Medication Aide - Health Services is responsible for providing healthcare services via safely administering medications and treatments to residents and on-going consultation under the supervision of a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse.
Responsibilities include:
Medication Assistants provide care and services for residents that include, but is not limited to, personal care and activities of daily living as needed.
Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol.
Performs tasks associated with medication administration, including resident vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stock the medication cart.
Records medication administration according to federal, state, local, and Company guidelines.
All records and documentation must be legible and accurate on the medication record MAR.
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months of experience in long term care, healthcare, or work with the elderly preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of a Nurse's Aide Program.
State of Hawaii Board of Nursing Certification for Nurse Aide preferred.
