Reporting to the Inspections Supervisor, this position supports the refinery’s inspection group.
As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will: Works with inspectors and engineers to maintain accurate and current inspection data into Risk- Based Inspection (RBI) software.
Researches and resolves data anomalies by evaluating data quality, identifying data discontinuity, and resolving issues around missing or incorrect information.
Must be able to become familiar with governing codes as applicable.
Serve as PSV Administrator for inspection group preparing QC programs, repair and alteration rules, basic codes of construction and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
Position requires successful completion of the National Board VR Endorsement (if not already acquired) and in house training.
Generates and maintains equipment drawings.
Develops AutoCAD piping isometrics for field inspection.
Provides support for inspection technical reviews, projects, and studies by collaborating with inspectors/engineers on tasks such as, but not limited to, maximum time to failure and corrosion rate calculations, loss of containment reviews.
Produces and distributes reports, inspection plans, work lists.
Manages inspection scheduling requirements by administering work process including compliance tracking and task issuance.
Maintains inspection documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Ensures documentation is current, accurate and compliant.
Works with inspectors to gain knowledge of the process units and duties of the Inspection Dept.
Applicable work in the “field” or process units required.
Must be knowledgeable of NDE methods (experience as an NDE technician not required but would be considered a plus).
Will be required to pull database queries from Maintenance and Inspection databases and compare them.
Will be required to put in Notification for Maintenance assistance with inspection tasks.
Field duties may be required occasionally.
Performs other duties as required.

To be a good fit for the RBI Specialist opportunity, you will have: High School Diploma or GED required.
Two-year college or trade school degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum five years of inspection experience in related industry required.
Degree, or certificate in Data Analytics, or other technical discipline preferred.
API RP 580 Certification required.
Supplemental API RP 581 training preferred.
Additional API certifications will be considered a major plus.
