Senior RF Engineer

Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Senior RF Engineer for our Kapolei, Hawaii location.
This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities Support all global Teleport operations, currently consisting of four sites in Kapolei, Maui and Molokai, Hawaii, and Guam.
HPT is also considering expanding to other Pacific Rim locations and partner teleports in CONUS and Europe Provide Engineering Expertise for the design of new customer requirements, source vendors, develop project and implementation plans and supervise all work that goes on at the teleports and customer sites as required.
RF Network Design for Satellite Networks is required.
Provide RF Engineering Training for staff.
Review and comment on all engineering plans, programs and design as needed.
Manage assigned teleport vendors, striving to always get best value and having quotes from multiple vendors.
Develops, leads staff through effective leadership and excellent people skills to promote high morale within the Company.
Must be able to manage and supervise Teleport Personnel as required on a daily basis.
Responsible for employee reviews.
Implements an engineering document control program.
Provides system design plans and documents for all recent programs and review existing RF systems for upgrades and repairs.
Drives Company success to achieve and surpass customer service deliverables on time and on budget.
Works with COO to evaluate customer requirements against HPT existing infrastructure.
Provides estimated costs for required equipment purchases and infrastructure upgrades necessary to deliver customer service and assume responsibility of the management of implementation from contract execution to start of service.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
Attend conferences when required and generate a meeting schedule that shows customer growth targets.
Ability to present the Company and its services publicly.
Schedule pre-meetings with the COO and provide updates as required.
Collaborate with the leadership team and staff to implement multi-year plans for operational infrastructure, budget forecasting and management of infrastructure improvements in an economical manner factoring in cost benefit analysis and time value of money as directed.

Qualifications Engineering degree, preferably Electrical Engineering and RF Satellite Communications, or 10 years experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree 5+ years of documented experience in Satellite Communications Network Design, Repair and Operations.
Knowledge of Uplink and Downlink Chains and System Design.
