Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to fill the Photographer – Intermediate position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
As an Intermediate Photographer, this dynamic role goes beyond conventional boundaries, requiring availability for 24/7 emergency on-call photographic coverage beyond regular hours.
The scope of support encompasses a diverse range, from capturing crucial moments in surgeries, autopsies, and patient interactions to documenting the intricacies of gross anatomy, histology/cytology, procedures, and test results.
Additionally, this position extends its lens to cover promotional activities, ceremonies, VIP visits, and various official TAMC functions.
The responsibilities also include the artful documentation of law enforcement investigations, aircraft incidents, ground safety accidents, disasters, and other emergencies, where your photographic expertise plays a pivotal role.
With approximately 70 photo sessions per month and occasional surges reaching up to 110 sessions, this role demands a blend of precision, adaptability, and creativity to enhance documented events through minor editing when necessary.

#683, Schofield Barrack, HI 96786 Job Requirements: Skills / Experience Required Proven experience as a Medical Photographer Use DOD SAFE to safely transfer large files to the customer Provide official images to include official passport photos, ISOPREP (Isolated Personnel Report)/deployment photos, and provide deliverables as required (prints and/or email upload) The contractor shall carry a pager and respond to a call or page within 15 minutes and physically respond within one hour of receiving the notice.
Maintain tracking schedule of medical photography workload in accordance with government furnished procedures and systems Ensure the studio is clean and free of safety and fire hazards.
Products shall be free of surface defects such as spots, static marks, dust marks, scratches, fingerprints, out of focus, under or over exposure, and other defects Produce digital black and white or color prints and files captured at in-studio or off-site locations Maintain records and files of digital photos on historical databases.
Scan medical slides and photographs, maintain files, prepare destruction records, and dispose of analog images in accordance with regulatory guidance Report for court duty when subpoenaed for photo verification.
Create and maintain standard operation procedures documentation Education / Certifications Medical Photography Professional Criteria – Ideally, medical photographers possess and maintain a valid Total Body Photography Certification from the Biocommunications Association or similar certification from a medical industry recognized accreditation association.
Medical Photographers that have a combination of general industry photography certification and satisfactory academic medical anatomy or physiology coursework from an accredited school or adult learning program may be considered at the discretion of the government.
