Position Summary:
Amentum is seeking an Air Combat Operations Integration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the integration of Air Combat information into a new USINDOPACOM sponsored AI/ML enabled plans capability (STORMBREAKER).
Joint Duties and Responsibilities:
The Air Combat SME must understand the complexity and value of operational information flow (GFM, DRRS, etc.
) to decision-makers; be able to assess and evaluate best use of air combat data in the Joint Planning Process (JPP); and synchronize how this information is represented and integrated into the wargaming process.
Key areas of understanding for the Air Combat SME are aviation operations, aircraft platforms, munitions, logistics and Joint plans.
The Air Combat SME must be well versed in the JPP and understand the information needed to successfully integrate Air Combat operations into operational design and COA development.
The Air Combat SME will educate and inform developers of the C2IE (Command and Control of the Information Environment) system how best to represent aviation capabilities within C2IE and integrate into an AI enabled Joint Operational Planning Toolkit (JOPT).
This position will also advise developers working with the STORMBREAKER COA analysis wargame how to relay that information into a wargaming scenario.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Air Combat SME will provide and oversee high-value analysis, assessment, test and evaluation of new capabilities to integrate Air Combat capabilities onto the plans, operations and the wargaming process
Conduct research, inform new capabilities, and support operational, and strategic Joint plans
Provide support for the development, planning, staffing, coordination, integration, execution, and assessment of Air Combat Capabilities
Recommend how to integrate Air Combat targeting strategies into operational plans
Recommend how to integrate Air Combat capabilities to enhance COA development and COA analysis
Identify operational use-cases for enhancements in Air Combat capabilities and provide developers with insights on integration options that can translate into system upgrades
Assess and provide formal recommendations on emerging tools methodologies
Identify adversary capabilities and assist with integration concepts for the C2IE, JOPT and STORMBREAKER wargame
Required Skills & Experience
Clearance Required: Top Secret
Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s desired
Must possess 8 years of experience in aviation related field
Experience with the planning process at the theater level (Operations Plans) OPLANS, CONPLANS and Theater Campaign Plan (TCP)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience conducting assessments
Familiarity with Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
SAMS/SAWS/SASS graduate highly desired
