Under the general supervision of the Recreation Director II (Swim), this position maintains constant surveillance of the designated pool and performs lifeguarding tasks to include performing rescues and administering emergency life support measures applying immediate First Aid and CPR as needed and performs other related duties as required.
Special Work Conditions: Will conduct swimming rescues during emergencies; exposure to environmental and adverse weather conditions; exposure to the effects of pool chemicals, acids, and gaseous chlorine.
Will serve as a Disaster Response worker during declared emergencies.
