Systems Administrator
Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Systems Administrator with GDIT at the Joint Multinational Simulation Center - Indo Pacific (JMSC-IP); the Pacific's premier simulation complex.

As a Systems Administrator you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.
Our work depends on a Systems Administration joining our team to help build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific! HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
Sets up administrator, user and service accounts.
Maintains system documentation.
Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates requisition and installation in accordance with local policies and procedures.
Develops and implements backup recovery.
Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
May program in an administrative language.
Develops and implements application testing strategies and document results.
Provides advice and training to end-users.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
Maintains and provides the guidance and troubleshooting for the hyper-converged infrastructure architecture enclaves within the network boundary.
Supports and leads the STIG and RMF updates for all systems within the network enclave boundary.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BS/BA in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience Required Technical Skills: Experience in software layers (hypervisor, virtual machines, storage management, etc.
