Directs, plans, coordinates and is administratively responsible for the proper installation, operation, repairs, modification, construction and preservation of buildings, utilities, mechanical and electrical systems.
Inspects on a scheduled basis all buildings and systems.
Responsible for the development of plans and designs for renovation, modification, and new construction.
Overall responsibility for maintenance and capital project budgets.
Essential Functions Meets on a regular basis with the Vice President of Information Technology and coordinates the direction, planning, and reporting necessary for the successful operation of this department.
Meets building maintenance operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
Monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
Responsible in coordinating the central supplies, courier services, and all incoming and outgoing mail or shipping processing within responsible department.
Ensures operation of equipment by developing and enforcing preventive-maintenance programs; studying manufacturer’s instructions; establishing repairing and installation policies and procedures; troubleshooting malfunctions; coordinating tradespersons; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques; recommending equipment purchases and replacements.
Identifies management and employee concerns by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions; recommending building-maintenance programs; writing and updating policies and procedures.
Maintaining the physical security of both interior and exterior of the credit union facilities.
Plans and maintains budgets and RFP’s.
Oversees the management of filing and records systems, and maintaining these to meet administrative, legal, and financial requirements.
Ensures that the credit union is in compliance with applicable State, Federal and Local Laws related to this department.
Supervises facilities management employee outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as needed.

Maintains clear communication with managers, team members and vendors.
Communication must be accurate information when appropriate.

Maintain disaster recovery plan/business continuity plan.
Protect integrity of member information by following records retention schedule.
Ensure proper maintenance and management of credit union building facilities, equipment and timely response to issues or concerns.
Ensure department employees are properly trained in all areas of the department.
Qualifications Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED is required Two-year or business college degree and/or equivalent of Required Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office Suite is desired.
Basic knowledge of credit union programs.
Working knowledge of e-mail, telephone system, security, facilities.
Knowledge of State, Federal, and Local Laws related to this department.
Experience Required: Four years’ experience in building/facilities management, construction, and administration.
Five years’ experience as a supervisor/manager or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to navigate and properly utilize all management systems.
Negotiating skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Able to work independently and make sound decisions.
Driver’s license with clean traffic abstract, able to drive company van.
