Need:
We are looking for candidates to play a long-term role with our small but ever-growing business delivering our wonderful product to our customers across the Island of Oahu, and providing warehouse support to our production staff.
About the role:
The Delivery Driver role is an 85/15 position.
85% is out on the road delivering our fantastic line of gelatos, sorbettos, and cakes to our clients at the best restaurants and hotels in Hawaii.
The other 15% is spent doing routine vehicle inspections, organizing the warehouse and picking up production ingredients from wholesale markets.
Driver requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of a clean driver's abstract.
Familiarity with Oahu roads and at least 3 years of driving experience.
Complete daily sanitation of vehicles and delivery assets up to company standards.
Safely transfer product with a cart or pallet jack to and from loading areas of multiple locations.
Fill out invoice logs, route completion times and expense records
Perform routine, maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Maintain the organization of the product inventory system.
Safe and efficient driving.
Providing exceptional customer service, while delivering product
Preferred Candidates:
Be a team-oriented and reliable individual who is motivated to make products at a high standard.
Detail oriented, operating safely, and communicating with the team.
Experience in food service and/or manufacturing.
Familiar with food safety practices.
Experience driving a large box truck
DELIVERY DRIVER: Must be detail-oriented, energetic, motivated and courteous.
Primary duties include pulling orders, safe and efficient driving and providing exceptional customer service.
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of a clean driver's abstract, familiarity with Oahu roads and at least 3 years of driving experience.
Although company vehicles do not require a special license, experience driving a large box truck is preferred.
Position Environment:
Be inside a walk-in freezer of no lower than -32 Fahrenheit, throughout the day, for no more than 10 minutes at a time.
Lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day independently, and 100 lbs in buddy lifts.
Move Frozen Gelato and other desserts from a box truck into customer restaurant kitchens using a cart, but at times carrying loads by hand, up stairs.
Pay will be commensurate with experience.
