EPS Fabrication Technician

*POSITION SCHEDULE & SUMMARY:* EPS Process Technician supports EPS Cells in product processing and machine operations.
Normally 5:30am - 2:00pm Monday through Friday *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * * Technicians will set up cutting machine.
* Learn how to read sales orders.
* Use sales order information to adjust machines and make the appropriate cuts.
* Completes production paperwork.
* Label and/or identified the product as needed.
* Maintains a clean and safe workstation.
* Performs Housekeeping activities.
* Perform Quality checks according to product specification.
* Follow company safety procedures and GMP’s requirements.
* Responsible for Start up and Shut down of fabrication department equipment.
* Follow EPS general and Fabrication procedures.
* Follow 5-S map.
* Uses product Inventory in FIFO (First In First Out) practice.
* Maintain Housekeeping record logs for area of responsibility.
*OTHER FUNCTIONS: *Other job duties as assigned.
*WORKING CONDITIONS:* Indoors under regular warehouse and manufacturing plant conditions.
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
This position requires standing and walking during the entire shift.
*PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND COMMUNICATION DEMANDS: *Able to stay mentally alert, while working in fluctuating temperatures and standing for long periods of time.
Requires basic reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills.
Also, requires verbal communication and people skills.
Must be able to follow operation plans, SOP’s and safety procedures.
Self-starter, with the ability to question processes and seek out root cause solutions.
*WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: *At least 1 year of experience working on an assembly line and/or manufacturing plant.
Able to use and read a measuring tape.
Must know the difference between length, width, and height (thickness).
*EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:* High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certificate from a technical school preferred.
