Amentum is seeking a dynamic Senior Network Engineer to provide enterprise architecture support to the Director, USINDOPACOM Command, Control, Communications and Cyber Directorate at Camp H.
M.
Smith, Hawaii.
The Senior Network Engineer shall assist in planning, implementing, installing, configuring, operating, and optimizing an extensive range of network technologies and monitoring tools across multiple enclaves.
Additionally, the candidate shall be knowledgeable in the practice and execution of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations and DISAs STIG Viewer checklist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and execute, and document network architecture projects.
Configure and deploy network routers, switches, firewalls, Video Teleconferencing (VTC)-specialized equipment, and related network devices.
Coordinate required Authorized Scheduled Interruptions (ASI).
Upon completion of the ASI, produce a narrative After Actions Report (AAR) depicting the installation, faults, troubleshooting, fixes, and lessons learned.
Execute DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations and evaluate account for vulnerabilities via DISAs STIG Viewer checklist.
Perform cable management duties (fabrication, patching, tracing, labeling, organizing, and troubleshooting of new and existing networking infrastructure).
Configure/re-configure new and existing applications to capture security and performance data required by the customer.
Perform redundancy testing of network devices identifying potential root cause.
Develop courses of action for mitigation or remediation and assist in remedying the situation.
Maintain and troubleshooting network, hardware, printer, server, and software products and services within the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) data, telephony, and Video Teleconference (VTC) environments.
Enforce identity and access requirements and personnel security standards using INDOPACOM Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting applications and processes.
Process and resolve assigned IT Service Requests and Trouble Tickets using the current INDOPACOM ticketing system.
Create and maintain architectural and topographical diagrams.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assist in the initial setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting and reconfiguration of malfunctioning devices.
Maintain the lifecycle management of all devices, ensuring government personnel are notified of device end of life, end of support, and end of service.
Minimum Requirements:
IAW DoD 8570.
01-M, must meet IAT II minimum qualifications.
Must have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
Contractor must have at least 6 years of experience, of which should include 3 years of DoD network engineering experience.
Must have experience with IT project management and architecture development, preferably in a in a geographical combatant command or similar theater-wide network architecture environment.
Must have a current Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification.
Must have a current Security+ CE certification.
Must have experience using SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tool.
Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
