Job Description AECOM is seeking an Architect/Engineer Building Design Project Manager based in Honolulu, HI to lead and execute interdisciplinary building design projects with a focus on Department of Defense and Federal projects in a collaborative and design-focused environment in the Pacific region including but not limited to Korea, Japan, Guam and Hawaii.
The role will be responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.
Responsible for planning and managing project staffing requirements, reporting project performance, and identifying and addressing scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects Job Summary/Responsibilities + Acting as a primary point of contact with the client + Working with interdisciplinary technical leads in the coordinated successful execution of projects in design and construction + Reviewing contracts, preparing fee proposals and project execution strategies + Managing and leading all technical, financial, and client satisfaction areas using established processes and tools + Managing sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance + Leading the team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within the scope, and within budget + Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk + Reporting and escalating to management as needed + Performing risk management to minimize project risks + Maintaining project documentation control Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor's Degree Architecture or Engineering or related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + US Citizenship Required Preferred Qualifications: + Leadership experience, including managing client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and meeting scope/schedule/budget + Detail-oriented, methodical, meticulous, process-oriented, yet open to change and motivated by innovation + Advanced knowledge of planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration, and code requirements + Experience managing concurrent projects in various stages of development and managing multiple project types with an emphasis on design, sustainability, and innovation + Innovative problem solver with excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to manage people and projects through strong demonstrated organizational skills + Strong skills in the full suite of MS Office applications + Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities in support of the sales team + Develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential clients + Be a great collaborator and communicator + Ambitious self-starter with a get-it-done attitude who strives for excellence + Professional Engineer or Registered Architect Additional Information + Occasional travel required + Offered rate of compensation (Hawaii locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
