TeamGOV is seeking to fill a Maintenance Technician role in Seattle, WA, and Honolulu, HI.

One of our clients in Seattle, WA and Honolulu, HI needs a Maintantanance Technician for a permanent position.
Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Seattle, WA and Honolulu, HI Position Type: Permanent position Travel: Some travel may be required Job Description: The technician will assist TeamGov in providing support and management for US Federal contracts throughout the United States.
This individual will have knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems and issues.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated manufacturing systems is preferred.
The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and hydraulic equipment while constantly demonstrating safe work practices.
This role will create value by performing preventative and corrective maintenance across the United States.
The technician will perform requested duties related to the repair, troubleshooting, replacement, and wholesale installation of perimeter physical security systems, including active vehicle barriers, related hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as logical control systems.
Applicants will travel to the client's site to perform both routine preventive maintenance as well as corrective maintenance on emergency and routine calls.
Communicate with on-site personnel as needed to ensure timely performance of work, as well as proper access to the site.
If needed, provide traffic control or other measures necessary to ensure a safe onsite working environment.
Responsibilities: Complete work tasks and service orders in a timely fashion.
Estimate time and extent of repairs needed.
Perform routine preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
Maintain material and supply inventory.
Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Troubleshooting and repairing electric/electronic equipment, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems Troubleshooting common low-voltage DC circuits.
Participate in the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program Working in a self-directed manner with little supervision.
Provide excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of organizational staff, Government officials, and outside customers/vendors.
Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat a plus.
Develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance Inspection Reports, Corrective Maintenance Reports, and any additional documentation.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
College coursework or technical training in electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems is desired.
Experience in hydraulics/electrical systems technician is a plus.
Basic understanding of hydraulic systems.
Understand basic electrical schematics and work with low-voltage wiring.
Have a general understanding of construction.
Demonstrated work experience with Active Vehicle Barriers a strong plus.
Must be able to convey information clearly in English in written form and orally.
Ability to travel 90% of the time.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to travel anywhere within the United States, via airplane, or vehicle (POV or Rental).
Must be able to obtain/maintain at a minimum a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NACLC).
The position requires a background check to include a DMV report, a current and valid driver’s license.
Position requires lifting, bending, crouching, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, and the ability to lift 50 to 85 pounds if necessary.
Must be able to gain access to military installations and/or federal buildings (Favorable background check (NAC) required).
Technicians may be required to obtain/and maintain a Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Direct relevant experience with Active Vehicle Barriers (AVBs) a plus.
Direct relevant experience with Electronic Security Systems (ESS) a plus.
Direct experience with hydro/electromechanical systems is a plus.
Direct experience performing maintenance management for Federal clients is a plus.
