The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Senior IT Active Directory Manager to support our government client at Fort Shafter, Hawai'i.
The Army Pacific (AP) Active Directory Forest is comprised of approximately 48 domain controllers (DC) on several enclaves.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate, manage and defend the classified and unclassified active directory forest.
Ensure the AP forest is secure and operational 99.
9 percent of the time.
Provide AD service support for DODIN-A PACIFIC Provide AD situational awareness to RCC-P Director, Deputy Director, and Team Lead Diagnose/repair AD Degradation or interruptions Provide Army Pacific portion of the users and other customers with information regarding AD service degradation or interruptions Maintain AD domain controllers and other NETCOM managed AD CIs; update all CI as required to meet minimum security baseline requirements Continuously monitor the Active Directory Domain to detect malfunction, intrusion attempts, and anomalies Design and manage directory synchronizations with other systems Synchronize Directory Services - Create utilities and scripts to synchronize directory services.
Ensure information integrity.
Add user functionality.
Coordinate actions with other organizations Provide Active Directory administration at the area processing center or regional nodes Provide Microsoft Active Directory OU administration and assign permissions in accordance with delegation model Operate and maintain global directory in support of Forest Management for Active Directory Perform hardware upgrades, software upgrades, apply security patches and apply recommended operating system (OS) patches, test and install desktop software, add user accounts, remove user accounts, provide system performance tuning, and perform backups and restores Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve IT server and workstation-related trouble tickets Create/change approved Group Policies for any customer requirements and to remediate all vulnerabilities for servers and workstations Manage AD user accounts for NIPRNET and SIPRNET and CENTRIXS servers, systems, and Installation Implement Defense Information Systems Agency required Standard Technical Implementation Guide requirements and fixes Install, operate, and maintain a government-provided enterprise backup system for DoDIN Army Pacific hardware such as servers and user computers managed by the RCC-P Development and implement a backup routine and sequence to ensure availability and integrity of backup data if necessary, for data restoration or recovery to include a backup strategy for flag officer staff and distinguished visitors File Retention - Development and implement an archive (library) routine to satisfy retention, preservation and recovery requirements based on the Army Electronic Archive (AEA) module of the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) to provide large-scale, secure storage for the RCC-P’s important email and other electronic data Perform fault management, preventive maintenance, and backup and recovery for IT components Manage, monitor, and secure all internal systems at the RCC-P work center, and the IT assets it manages in the Army Pacific portion of the DoDIN-A architecture, by using the tools.
Support IT servers within the RCC-P.
This support includes hardware and software installation, Common Office Environment configurations, troubleshooting, scanning, patching, and backup and restoration of servers Complete 99.
9 percent of Government requests by the established deadline of the request for server support, and shall ensure 99.
9 percent of backups of data are accomplished within the established timeframe Track all incidents or fixes in Remedy Trouble Ticketing system for action support request.
Report security events using Remedy within 15 minutes of detection or notification.
If the Remedy server is down, trouble tickets will be submitted manually and telephonically to accommodate customer requirements Take action on tickets: Respond to the trouble ticket by initiating corrective action, providing follow up on corrective actions, and closing out a trouble ticket by entering the required information Ensure proper, correct, and complete record entries are reported on all assigned trouble tickets Manage domain level Public key servers and infrastructure Other duties as assigned by Supervisor Hours: 24x7 REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, preferred.
Must meet IAT III minimum baseline requirements per DoD 8570.
01-M upon date of hire.
Must meet designated Computing Environment (CE) certifications (Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) within sic (6) months of hire date REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Enterprise System Administration experience on Microsoft Windows platform; an understanding of a wide array of server grade applications to include Lotus Notes, Windows DNS, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, SAN/NAS, SCCM/SCOM, VM, Patch Management, and LDAP.
Knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP network architecture and implementation; understand the fundamentals of network protocols, architecture and management.
Knowledge and understanding of the associated IA principles and framework applied to ensure information assurance and security of those services REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE: Must be a U.

Citizen.
Minimum Secret clearance; must be TS eligible based on investigation type (T5).
