We’re looking for a skilled journeyman electrician to add to our growing team.
In this role, it will be your job to assist our customers in the maintenance, repair, and installation of their electrical systems.
We’ll ask you to perform these tasks for both residential, commercial and government clients.
As a journeyman electrician, you will be asked to complete a wide variety of tasks.
You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems.
You should also be able to read blueprints and interpret them in order to determine the best way to resolve the problems in an electrical system.
To accomplish all of this, you will need to have a deep familiarity with wiring, commonly-used electrical tools, and various components.
Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities:
• Drive yourself to our job sites and assess their electrical systems
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints
• Use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systems
• Use your knowledge to determine the best way to install new electrical systems
• Answer any questions that our customers may have about their electrical systems and components
• Ensure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work
Journeyman Electrician Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Formal electrician training
• Ability to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniques
• Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
• Strong customer service skills
Qualifications for Electrician:
• Completion of an electrician apprentice program required
• Completion of an electrician program at a technical or trade school preferred
• Journeyman Electrician license required in state of Hawaii
• 3-5 years of electrical experience
• Valid Hawaii driver’s license
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
• Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
• Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools associated with electrical work
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
