Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced and highly skilled senior level Audio Visual Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge audiovisual systems (AV) that meet the organization's needs.
You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver seamless and innovative AV solutions, providing technical expertise and leadership.

Shafter Bldg #683, Schofield Barrack, HI 96786 Job Requirements: Skills / Experience Required 5 years, extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining audiovisual systems Proficient in audiovisual system design software and CAD tools Strong knowledge of AV industry standards, protocols, and emerging technologies Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Lead the design and implementation of complex audiovisual systems for various environments, including conference rooms, auditoriums, and collaborative spaces Collaborate with internal stakeholders, architects, and clients to gather requirements and ensure the integration of AV systems with existing infrastructure Oversee the integration of audiovisual components, including video conferencing systems, displays, projectors, sound systems, and control interfaces Ensure compatibility and interoperability of AV systems with other technology platforms Provide technical leadership to the AV engineering team, offering guidance on best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals Manage and coordinate AV projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction Develop project documentation, including system schematics, equipment lists, and installation plans Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex AV systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly Establish preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the ongoing reliability of AV equipment Cultivate and maintain relationships with AV equipment vendors and service providers Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, facilities, and event planning teams, to address AV requirements for various functions Conduct quality assurance testing on AV systems to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, recommending improvements to enhance AV capabilities Education / Certifications BS: Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or a related field Certifications that may be needed/beneficial may include: SSCP or A+ CE or CCNA Security or Network+CE CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL are a plus Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.

A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required.

The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
