Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Senior PC Specialist position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Join us as a Senior PC Specialist, where your role extends beyond conventional IT support.
You'll take the lead in delivering high-level, personalized IT support for the Command group, consisting of approximately 24 staff members.
Also, your expertise will cater to about 10 other key staff members as identified in the current work ticket system.
Become an integral part of our team, contributing to the seamless functioning of essential IT services for key personnel within the organization.

Shafter Bldg #683, Schofield Barrack, HI 96786 Job Requirements: Skills / Experience Required Extensive PC Maintenance and Technical Support Background: Showcase a robust 5-year track record in roles focusing on PC maintenance and providing technical support, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in the field Mobile Response Expertise Carry a Government Furnished (GFE) Mobile Email Device to promptly address time-sensitive technical issues during core hours, adhering to specified response times Collaborative Problem Resolution Collaborate with Customer Support staff to effectively resolve a diverse array of IT problems, offering preventive solutions to enhance system reliability Knowledge Base and SOP Development: Take the lead in developing Knowledge Base (KB) articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for both the Global Service Center (GSC) and local Help Desk Provide a monthly summary of additions, modifications, and deletions to enhance the collective knowledge base Review, redirect, and remediate misrouted tickets by leveraging KBs, submitting Quality Assurance tickets to GSC, and actively participating in ticket workflow coordination with various IMD sections VIP Access List and KBs Management Respond promptly to GSC requests for updating VIP access lists and KBs, making immediate changes as key personnel transitions occur End User Device (EUD) Support Offer comprehensive support to resolve a wide range of end-user device (EUD) related problems, ensuring systems' operability is restored promptly Escalate issues for resolution to the appropriate IMD staff when required Information Assurance Compliance Collaborate with the Information Assurance staff to achieve Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance, addressing decentralized and central systems' security needs as identified by Government staff Education / Certifications Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I SSCP or A+ CE or CCNA Security or Network+CE Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are a plus Key Skills/Experience Required for Interview Selection ONLY Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.

The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
