We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join a young innovative company in the U.
S.
Federal Government construction & service industry.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for the planning and execution of all Electrical work performed.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following: Essential Functions To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each previously stated duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to succeed as Electrical Superintendent: Supervises and directs craft activities, subordinate superintendents/foremen, and others, as assigned.
Helps facilitate Project Awards to project kick offs by working closely with the estimator and project managers.
Coordinates with the Estimator prior to material and equipment buy-outs.
Develop/oversee Electrical procurement and contractual requirements, personnel assignments and capacity planning.
Interact with the customer and assigned Project Manager to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion.
Manages project budget development; sets cost controls; reviews project budget regularly and recommends modifications as needed to ensure project is performing within budget.
Project was completed with expected level of profitability.
Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
Plans and formulates work plans and organizes tasks to ensure performance meets or exceeds contract requirements and customer expectations.
Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractors performance are in compliance with specifications.
Performs general functions inherent in all supervisory field positions.
Schedules and directs the sequence of work for several crews of related crafts.
Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects.
Need the capability to readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements.
Aids the lead project foreman to coordinate and direct multi-discipline craft activities within a specific area of the project, or all related crafts and superintendents of a single discipline covering multiple areas of the project.
Plans and coordinates the installation of temporary and permanent power.
Supervises installation of above ground raceways and supports, underground raceway, cable installation, cable and wire terminations, instrumentation, electrical equipment, medium and high voltage equipment, etc.
Performs effective planning of all work activities to ensure optimum performance and productivity of direct hire construction work performed on the project.
Coordinates subcontractor work activities and interfaces on the project when required.
Interfaces with Labor Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
Optimizes the use of construction equipment and tools on the project.
Provides constructability suggestions, input and feedback.
Provides leadership for the safety, accident prevention, and fire prevention programs on the project which includes: Required Experience 5 years of extensive Electrical Superintend experience is required.
Industrial/Commercial and Federal construction, renovations and upgrades preferred.
Federal Construction Experience in a fast-paced business environment is required.
Proven history of leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others successfully.
Knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, RMF, I3A and related procurement regulations.
Project planning and scheduling with MS project/Primavera (P3/P6).
Ability to handle stressful situations and is ORGANIZED.
Educational Requirements High School Required Licenses and Certificates Vocational license(s) are a plus.
Security Clearance Must be a U.
S.
Citizen, and be eligible to receive a Federal Security Clearance (candidates with an active Federal Security Clearance are preferred).
Must pass a background check to obtain a Security Clearance.
