Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems mainly related to HVAC projects under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
- Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents to understand the layout and requirements of electrical systems.
- Assist in the installation of electrical components such as AC disconnects, re-feed panels, sub-panels, meter upgrades, duct smoke detectors, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and making necessary repairs or replacements.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving purposes.
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles and concepts.
- Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge related to electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from supervisors while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Treat coworker with respect as our workplace does not tolerate bullying, violence or toxic traits
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks as required.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
Required Experience:
- At least one (1) year on the job working under a licensed journeyman electrician
- Must have basic understanding of electrical work including wire and conduit sizing, NEC code basics and ability to use the NEC code book
Other Requirements:
- Own all hand tools such as linesman pliers, wire strippers, channel locks, screw drivers, etc.
- Preferably own battery power tools such as impact, drill, bandsaw, sawzall, etc.
