Duties Provides direct services to the public: registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdue/ reserves, interlibrary loans/reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers reference questions.
Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.
2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1.
One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
2.
Two years of education above high school.
3.
A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
Highly Qualification Preferred Applicant: 1.
Must possess more than one year of library work experience.

Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position.
Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay.
When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).

Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
