Duties Test personnel to provide on-the-job training to applicants for operating a variety of fixed and mobile equipment.
Trains selected personnel to operate and maintain equipment.
Performs unannounced roadside inspections of government owned vehicles.
Provides training to DPW personnel on the proper operation and operator maintenance.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Pre appointment and annually thereafter physical required.
Must obtain and maintain a Government operator’s license to drive all vehicles assigned to the unit.
This is position requires the incumbent to have a commercial driver's license (CDL).
This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander and may be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends.
This position requires temporary duty travel (TDY) of 10%.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Mobile Equipment Master Driver Examiner ~ without more than normal supervision; safely be able to train and operate vehicles, instruct personnel on how to drive and fix vehicles.
- Failure meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions and where parts of the system are in hard-to-reach places.
Frequently lifts and carries items that weigh up to 75 pounds and occasionally handles heavier items, usually with assistance of another person or of mechanical devices.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works inside and outside in all types of weather.
The work is dirty, dusty, and greasy.
Exposed to mud, water, and fumes.
Frequently exposed to the possibility of scrapes, burns, and infections from unsanitary work sites.
Incumbent has occasional exposure to the possibility of broken bones.
Protective devices such as but not limited to ear plugs, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, hard hat, and safety shoes are required.
Long trousers or coveralls and shirt or tee shirt with sleeves are worn.
Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
