Join Our Solar Team as an Apprentice! Learn PV Electric, Batteries, Solar Hot Water, Solar Attic Fans, Solar Air Conditioning (yes it really is "a thing:) We are an established and experienced solar company seeking dedicated individuals for apprentice positions.
This is primarily a weekend gig, perfect for those looking to gain hands-on experience in the solar industry, and end the day with some money.
Ideal Candidate: Some construction experience and basic hand tools required; a battery drill is a plus.
Starting pay: $20 per hour, increasing to $25 based on performance and gaining experience.
Experienced individuals can earn up to $30 per hour, while journeymen with a work vehicle and tools can earn $35 per hour.
Payment and Benefits: Daily cash payouts for hours worked.
$25 gas compensation for travel exceeding 40 miles in total.
On-the-job training for practical learning.
Reliable transportation needed, especially on Saturdays and Sundays.
Job Requirements: Learn electrical and plumbing skills.
Own transportation for reliability.
Ability to work safely at heights; no horseplay permitted.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Perform Solar Hot Water preventative maintenance (hot water tune-up).
Learn to use a torch and sweat copper piping.
Maintain strong work ethic to ensure one-day project completion.
